Company history
Given the abundant natural gas potential in Sorong Regency which can be used as electricity with the aim of providing services to the community in the Regency and City of Sorong, at the initiative of the Regent of Sorong at that time, Dr. Drs. Stepanus Malak, M.Si, established a Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) or a Regional Company (PERUSDA) PT. Malamoi Olom Wobok (PT.MOW) is based on Regional Regulation (PERDA) of Sorong Regency Number 21 of 2008 and announced in the Regional Gazette of Sorong Tahu Regency 2008 Number 21 and subsequently a Notary Deed Number 03 dated January 5, 2009.
In the context of business development, the board of directors of PT. MOW continues to strive to develop business activities in the form of property, gas stations, provision of infrastructure, consultant services, sports facilities and infrastructure, development of the Sorong Special Economic Zone (KEK) and other business activities that are considered from an economic point of view to generate profit and added value to grow regional economic activities, creating jobs, attracting investment to the region and being able to increase the Regional Original Income (PAD) of Sorong Regency.
